Kia Motors Corporation is a multinational automobile manufacturer, based in South Korea and is one of the oldest in the country. Later it was renamed as Kia, a Sino-Korean word that can roughly be interpreted as “to come to the east” (‘Ki’ means to come out while the ‘a’ is for (East) Asia). Thereon, it started manufacturing motorcycles, trucks and cars for other brands and opened its first plant for integrated automobile assembly in 1973.
